Palazzo Wilson-Gattai was designed and built in 1867 for his own use by the English artist Federigo Wilson in a beautiful garden square that was opened when Florence was the capital of Italy.

In 1890 it became the residence of Gaetano Gattai and his family; his son Eugenio was an architect and he amplified, decorated and furnished as we see it today.

Palazzo Wilson Gattai is situated in the piano nobile of the palazzo in a very green piazza only a 5 minute walk from the piazza SS.

Annunziata and ten minutes on foot to the Piazza del Duomo. In this area you will find many trattorie and typical small restaurants and pizzerie as well as a food market and antique market.

The palazzo was recently restored with modern comforts retaining the original 16th, 17th and 18th century influences.

Apartment Wilson-Gattai comprises a large living room, 2 spacious bedrooms, a large kitchen and two bathrooms, one with bath and the other with shower.

The living room is elaboratley decorated with a marble fireplace, sofas, bookshelves and a dining table for up to eight people. This room has two very large windows overlooking the garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary items including dishwasher and fridge and a table that seats 6 people.

There are two bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double bed, both rooms are furnished with night tables, wardrobe, chairs and mirrors, both rooms have very large windows overlooking the garden.

There are two fold away beds that can be added to the bedrooms if necessary.

The Florence apartment is particularly quiet because of its location in the internal side of the Palazzo overlooking the private garden of the palazzo with its beautiful Lebanese cedar.

A second smaller apartment Apartment Azeglio is located on the ground floor of the palazzo, making this an excellent choice for a groups of up to 9 people traveling together.
