The palazzo was built in medieval times and is located to the side of the basilica Santa Croce that houses the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli and features wall frescoes by Giotto and other painters of the early Renaissance. The palazzo was modified in the sixteenth century and given it's painted facade and is considered a jewell of the Florentine artistic and architectural resurrection known as the Renaissance.

The location of these apartments are the perfect setting for a thorough visit to the treasures of Florence and it's surroundings. All other major sites of the city, including the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and the Cathedral are less than five minutes walking distance.
