Apartment Michelangelo is located in the magnificent Palazzo dei Ciompi formerly "Palazzo Pascolutti- Giani" a 19th Century building composed of 21 completely renovated apartments.
The building was previously home to the "Accademia dei Risoluti", which gave birth to the theatre named "Alfieri".
The building is located in Piazza Ciompi a noble piazza with the beautiful "Loggia del Pesce", designed by Vasari; simple and straight in design and composed of 18 thin Doric columns with a variety of small round terracotta fish.
Every last Sunday of the month an antique market is held with around 100 stalls distributed in the streets around the Piazza.
The area has an abundance of wonderful and typical trattorias and cafes.
Palazzo Ciompi is found in the centre of the old city about 150 metres from "Piazza Santa Croce", 350 metres from "Piazza del Duomo" and about 500 metres from Via Tornabuoni.
For the convenience of guests the building has two modern elevators, private car parking for 12 cars and a daily reception area Mon-Sat to receive and assist guests.
Apartment Michelangelo is on the second floor overlooking Via di Mezzo and comprises of a living room with a fully equipped kitchen; a large hall with a double sofa bed; 2 double bedrooms; 1 twin bedroom (queen bed on request); two bathrooms one with bathtub and one with shower.
This Florence apartment also has central heating, air conditioning, telephone and separate connections for internet and satellite TV.
There is also a fully equipped kitchen which included stove top, oven, dishwasher and fridge.
Spotless washing machines and dryers are in laundry rooms on each floor of the Palazzo using tokens available from the reception.
