Apartment Petrarca is located in the magnificent Palazzo Ciompi dei formerly "Palazzo Pascolutti- Giani" a 19th Century building composed of 21 completely renovated apartments.

The building was previously home to the "Accademia dei Risoluti", which gave birth to the theatre named "Alfieri".

The building is located in Piazza a noble piazza with the beautiful "Loggia del Pesce", designed by Machiavelli simple and straight in design and composed of 18 thin Doric columns with a variety of small round terracotta fish.

Every last Sunday of the month an antique market is held with around 100 stalls distributed in the streets around the Piazza.

The area has an abundance of wonderful and typical trattorias and cafes.

Palazzo Ciompi is found in the centre of the old city about 150 metres from "Piazza Santa Croce", 350 metres from "Piazza del Duomo" and about 500 metres from Via Tornabuoni.
